Basetsana Tladi, founder and CEO of Basetsana Rising. She was born in Pretoria. Has a double major degree in Criminology & Sociology. Has 10 years experience in Sales & Customer Service. She is currently studying towards her second degree in Business Management.
Basetsana is passionate about women empowerment. Her love in business was born thorough her sales job, where she was inspired with how the company ran and operated. They used to say we run our own shop. That taught me accountability and self drive.
I started to think like a business person. Was aware of any impact from service, advertising, sales, all these things had an effect in the success of your business. However, I had no idea where to start. I started to do research, would read up on what business and entrepreneurship is about. Because I had no particular direction and a solid plan, I was making enquiries on everything.

Within my journey of inquisitivity, I came across some challenges:
Successful people were out of reach. The truth was never told. No one had time to help. Women were taken advantage of and this deters us from being able to continue building solid relationships. I then decided to put women together of the same interest, and that’s how Basetsana Rising was born. Today, we hold an online store that aims to empower women. We haven online community that is aimed at building strong women. We aim to assist women in providing good and quality service, while balancing work and personal life.
